Yr9 trips to St Andrews Church

As part of the Christian belief and practices unit of work, year 9 had the opportunity to visit St. Andrews, the Parish Church of Hornchurch. A Church has stood at the site for over 800 years and St. Andrews is recognised as a grade one listed building- a building of outstanding distinction. Pupils enjoyed a tour of the Church, discussed its History and were shown some of the Christian practices that are experienced there. The pupils of Abbs Cross would like to say a big thank you to Revd Ken Wylie, Revd Lisa Bewick and Judith Brooks for giving them a greater insight into Christian beliefs and practices.
