shoebox of memories

For their homework this week, Mrs Welsh’s English class were asked to create a ‘shoebox of memories’ that represent the main character of the novel, Alem, a child refugee who has had to flee war torn Ethiopia and Eritrea. The class rose to the challenge and produced some fantastic shoeboxes that contained a wide range of letters, passports, plane tickets and personal possessions that Alem might treasure dearly - even including a bourbon biscuit! Well done Year 7!
