Havering District Athletics Competition – Years 7 & 8 – 2nd July 2024

On Tuesday 2^nd July, the Havering District Athletics Competition was held at Hornchurch Stadium. The day began with the 1500m competitions featuring Year 7 students Abigail and Holly, and Year 8 boys Archie and Sam.  Following the 1500m races, the competition moved on to the sprints and then concluded with the finals.

 

There were notable successes: Lily from Year 7 secured a respectable third place in the 300m competition, and Abigail from Year 7 also competed in the 100m race in a personal best time. Charlie from Year 8 participated in the shot put competition and performed well enough to earn a bronze medal in third place.

Well done to all the competitors for their fantastic effort and enthusiasm throughout the day, making Abbs Cross proud.
