Havering District cross country competition 2024
BackThe girls’ district cross-country competition took place on October 15, 2024, at Stubbers Outdoor Education Centre. The Year 7 students participated in the morning session, running a challenging 3 km race in muddy conditions. All the students put in a solid performance, with Nickoya Getten emerging as the top contender, finishing in 22nd place with a respectable time of 15 minutes and 54 seconds.
In Year 10, Lillie Lambert delivered a strong run, securing 37th position in the borough with a time of 15 minutes. Halimat Bursai also had a good race, completing the course in 24 minutes.
The afternoon session featured the Year 8 competition, where Abigail Adegite finished in a commendable 18th place with a time of 15 minutes. Bailee Adams completed the 3 km race in 17 minutes, earning 39th place overall.
In the Year 9 category, Holly Kavanagh ran an excellent race, finishing 29th overall with a time of 16 minutes and 10 seconds. Lola Ashford also performed well, securing 34th place with a time of 16 minutes and 28 seconds.
Congratulations to all the girls for their outstanding participation, effort, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. Well done!
