Year 8 World Dance: Bollywood

For the Summer term, Year 8 Dance students have been working on a unit of work called World Dance, studying Bollywood. Bollywood dance is the name given to the type of dance used in Indian films.
It’s the fusion of different dance styles including bhangra, hip-hop, arabic and jazz dance.
Year 8 have enjoyed working on set choreography taught, as well as creating short phrases of movement linking to action words - attempting to replicate illusions and precise hand gestures performed in professional works observed.
