Year 9 had an assembly about diversity and acceptance and Year 10 had an assembly to help them cope with exam stress and anxiety. The students across all year groups found the information given to be helpful and supportive.
We visited the following places:
- Harry Potter Experience –
On the 22nd April 80 of our Year 8 students were able to spend the day at the Harry Potter Studios where they were able to immerse themselves in all things Harry Potter. From the sets used in the films to the costumes and make up that make the characters come to life. The students had an amazing day and really enjoyed spending time at Hogwarts.
On Thursday 2nd May our school finalist, Manna, represented Abbs Cross at the Speakout Regional Finals at Frances Bardsley Academy with her powerful speech about ‘Speaking Up!’ We were so proud of how hard Manna worked on her speech and the impactful message she left with her audience of teachers, students and parents from across the borough. She was an absolute credit to the school. Well done Manna!
