Year 8 DisneyLand Paris 2024

A Student Diary.

Wednesday:

This morning we met at school at 06:10 and then we left the school at roughly 06:30. Then we did almost two hours to Dover. While we were at Dover we had to wait a while for the next ferry to arrive. 

Once we got onto the ferry we were allowed to wander round till we needed to go back to the meeting point. We were on the water for roughly two hours. Once we got off of the ferry we got back onto the coach and started to drive to our hotel. When we were about half way we stopped for a quick break and to have lunch before continuing our journey to the Disney hotel. One we arrived at the Disney hotel, we quickly changed and headed to the Disney Park. We spent the evening in the Disney village. This gave us a chance to browse the shops and eat dinner in one of the many restaurants on offer.

Thursday:

On Thursday we all woke up at 7:00 and went down for breakfast. After breakfast we jumped on the shuttle and headed to the park. Once we went through everything we were able to walk around with our groups. And we had to meet up every few hours. When I was with my friends we went on the tea cups, tower of terror, and more. Other students went on Star Wars hyperspace, The Avengers roller-coaster and Mrs Rogers' favourite ride, Crush's coaster. After that me and my friends went to an American restaurant for dinner and we went on some more rides before we had to meet up for the fireworks. The fireworks were amazing, there was a drone show, lazer show followed by the huge firework display.

Friday:

After breakfast we went on the shuttle bus to the park. We all went to the meeting point so that we knew the time to meet up there. I went off with Raya and we went on a lot of the rides that were very fast and had lots of spins. When we met up at 02:45 we all went to the meeting point so that we could wait for the coaches to take us the the ferry. Once we were about half way through we stopped at McDonald's to get food. After about an hour we started the trip again. Then we started to the port. Once we got to the port we had to wait a bit for the ferry, before boarding and completing our trip back to school.

This trip really helped me to develop my independence and gave me the confidence to do things on my own. The Disney park was magical and i'd love to go back!
