Year 7 Sports Day
BackThe eagerly awaited Year 7 Sports Day took place on Tuesday 25th July. The new format saw students signing up for various athletics events, resulting in a highly competitive atmosphere.
Event Highlights:
Girls’ 800m Race: Abigail in 7M emerged victorious with an excellent time of 3 minutes 24 seconds.
- Boys’ 800m Race: Taylor from 7B impressed everyone with a time of 2 minutes 50 seconds.
- 200m Races: Winners were Sara from 7C and Riley 7M.
- 100m Races: Sakib from 7M won the boys’ race, while Abigail, 7R, the Havering 100m representative, won the girls’ race with a time of 14 seconds.
- Shot Put Competitions:
Boys: George from 7S won with a throw of 7.63m.
Girls: Emme triumphed with a throw of 5.63m.
- High Jump Competitions: 7R dominated, with Ava and George winning the girls’ and boys’ events, respectively.
Afternoon Session:
- Mixed Interform Rounders Competition: All students participated. 7B emerged victorious, tying on points with 7R, but clinching first position with 5.5 more rounders scored across all matches.
Final overall Results:
1. 1st Place: 7M
2. 2nd Place: 7R
3. 3rd Place: 7C
4. 4th Place: 7B
5. 5th Place: 7A
6. 6th Place: 7S
