Wizard of Oz Youth Edition Performance: A Message From the Director
BackAnd just like that, the 2025 production of Wizard of Oz Youth Edition Performance has come to an end. We welcomed Ozians, Jitterbugs, Munchkins and the community of Abbs Cross Academy to our shows on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th February, and what a show it was.
We started our production journey with auditions in September 2024 and have worked together for over 70 hours: after school, during lunchtimes, in technical and dress rehearsals, putting together what could be (dare I say it?), one of the best shows yet!
For some members of The Wizard of Oz cast, this is the first school production they have been a part of – and what a way to begin! This show would not be possible without its terrific cast, who have worked tirelessly in rehearsals and learning lines at ridiculous speed! Every student has grown in confidence and skill, learning songs and crazy, complex choreography.
Thank you to everyone who came to support the production, I hope you enjoyed the performances, as much as I have loved every single second of directing The Wizard of Oz, Youth Performers Edition.
